Turmeric, Black Pepper, Rosemary / Eucalyptus radiata, Bergamot

Turmeric has high content of curcuminoids, for example, curcumin, demethoxycurcumin, bisdemethoxycurcumin and so on. Curcumin was found to have impact on nociceptors to reduce nociception. Also it can modulate the production of inflammatory cytokines and exert comparative analgesic effect of a standard dose of acetaminophen in treating acute pain; thus, to reduce muscle soreness. By adding black pepper to the blend, the bioavailability of curcuminoids can be increased. On the other hand, both rosemary and eucalyptus radiata, comprising of 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol), has muscle relaxation effect and has been proven to have a potential to act as calcium-channel blocker that lowers contractility of muscles. Bergamot in this blend basically for adjusting the smell of the blend. Plus, by utilising the terpenes inside, it helps to increase the absorption of oil by skin.
